Santa Barbara Concours d'Elegance
October 29th-30th, 2011
United Boys and Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County
The United Boys and Girls Clubs serve five communities throughout Santa Barbara County, helping over 8,400 youth. Many kids come to the Clubs voluntarily to be with friends, participate in sports, and engage in educational activities. Children may be referred to the Clubs by schools, counselors, or other agencies as a means to gain a positive experience socially, educationally, physically, and emotionally under guidance of caring adults.
Stratus Media Group is proud to support the United Boys and Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County. All proceeds from alcohol sales and entrant registration fees at the Santa Barbara Concours d'Elegance will go to benefit this local charity.

Drive Away Cancer
Drive Away Cancer is the brainchild of slightly foolhardy but very motivated vintage racer, John Nikas. Why? Because a barely running sixty year old British sports car shot through with rust is the perfect metaphor for people living with cancer. Imperfect? Of course, but with effort, hope and luck all things are possible.
Originally intended to raise money and support for cancer awareness, Drive Away Cancer unexpectedly evolved to serve as a rolling memorial for cancer victims and an inspiration for those fighting the disease. As the car travelled across America, thousands inscribed the names of loved ones on the car to serve as a reminder of how personally cancer affects us all while others taped pictures to the dash hoping to give those lost to cancer one last ride on the open road.
Stratus Media Group is proud to partner with John Nikas, vintage car racer and founder of Drive Away Cancer, for the 2011 Mille Miglia North America Tribute and 25th Santa Barbara Concours d'Elegance. Mr. Nikas will be participating in the MMNAT with his 1953 Austin Healey named "Grace", a newly born rolling monument raising Cancer awareness. An organic cancer movement sprung from John's valiant effort to travel across the United States in a vehicle thought of as tired, John gives hope to individuals worldwide and a chance for family members to pay tribute to loved ones lost. Combined with John's everlasting faith and a community of cancer survivors and family members of those impacted by the disease, Grace has persevered through violent weather and grueling journeys. This October Mr. Nikas and his memorialized Austin Healey will take on a new challenge, driving 1,000 miles across California in the inaugural Mille Miglia North America Tribute. He and Grace will then be honored at the 25th Santa Barbara Concours d'Elegance with a moment of silence for those lost and affected by Cancer.
